Hello,
my iTunes 10.1 show the available update to version 1.1.2. After download and intallation of the new firmware, the iPod restarts correct. But after the restart, the iPod has everytime the old version 1.1.1.

iPod classic 160GB 09.2007

Any ideas?

I've got the same model running 1.1.2.

Sorry, I've got no ideas to help other than trying a full system restore in iTunes.

To update or restore iPod classic:
1 Make sure you have an Internet connection and have installed the latest version of
iTunes from www.apple.com/ipod/start.
2 Connect iPod classic to your computer.
3 In iTunes, select iPod classic in the device list and click the Summary tab.
The Version section tells you whether iPod classic is up to date or needs a newer
version of the software.
4 Click Update to install the latest version of the software.
5 If necessary, click Restore to restore iPod classic to its original settings (this erases all
data from iPod classic). Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore
process.
