I own a 120 GB iPod Classic and I am quickly running out of room (116 GB used).

I really have no desire to purchase another 120 GB because I do not want to carry around two iPods.

Has anyone heard any rumors about a larger capacity iPod Classic?

I haven't heard anything, but if you don't mind shelling out quite a bit of $$, you can still find 160gb Classics around.

I doubt that larger capacity iPoc classics will be issued at any time soon as the general direction of Apple's development of this line seems to be found in SSD technology, such as the Touch and the Nano.

That said, I'm a fan of the classic - I have two - and I like both the capacity and the excellent battery. As slpdLoad says, your best bet would be to try for a 160 GB; they are still to be found around.

Cheers and good luck
