Hey everyone,

My iPod seems to connect fine to my MacBook, as it shows up on my iTunes and even plays. However, I can't seem to get it to show up in Finder or on my desktop. The disk utility shows that the iPod is detected. I don't want to restore my iPod because I have a lot of unique valuable files in it besides my songs (I use it as an occasional hard drive). I think I was able to access my iPod through Finder before, but I haven't tried to do it for some time until I found out it didn't work. I have accidentally disconnected my iPod a couple times as the cable was not very secure and kinda flimsy, so I'm worried that that may have caused some problems. What should I do? Thank you for your help.
