I'd like to run a repeating (looping) slideshow with music 24/7 into a MATV network. There's no need to synchronise the music with the image at any given point in time. Given the right adaptors at the MATV end, is this something an iPod classic can handle?
Also on my radar is just to make a movie of stills and music, make a DVD and put it on repeat, but optical drives have a habit of dying and it's a pain to alter the movie; or a netbook running something Windowy.
Any other suggestions for a playback device you have experience with?
