Use MRoogle to find similar threads, but aside from no moving parts inside the SSD and saving some battery life, there is no real need for an SSD inside an iPod Classic, as the speed increase will not manifest by just playing music and videos.
It also has a P-ATA (IDE) interface, and there don't seem to be many SSDs with the 1.8" form factor and the P-ATA interface.

Other than that, speed is fine with the HDD. I want to know more about the benefits it would bring. Like: battery life, weight, size, ect....

I'm not sorry, I just want to help you to communicate your intentions more clearly, as you don't seem to do that, in my eyes at least.
And I also assume that weight and battery life will not be that different, as the iPod Classic is such a small device with nothing much to do anyway.
The size will be the same though, as 1.8" is the same with HDDs and SSDs, maybe a mm here and two mm there.

Come on.......The question was very simple. I wanted to know if anyone tried to convert the classic to a SSD.
I'll change the "I love" to "I find it funny" and I'll make the question sound complicated so you don't have to slow down. I'll put in ipod DAP specs for both drives to keep you from insulting my and other's intelligence, which you seem to do so well. All in all, just move on man. You made your point. If all you want is the last word, then be my guest on my thread.
I know there are adapters that allow you to replace the hard drive in an iPod with a Compact Flash card, but that would limit you to 64GB.
