My iPod (the 30g with video...it's a few years old) has always has issues sometimes of freezing up, and I just reset it, then everything is back to normal. Well the last couple days I had added a few hundred songs to my iTunes, didn't really seem to be having any issues, until last night. I took my iPod out of my purse so I could listen before bed, and when I went to turn it on, there was nothing there...no playlists, no songs, nothing. It was like a brand new iPod.
I plugged it into iTunes right away and while it tried to sync it, I got a message saying that due to the amount of space already being taken up on the iPod that they couldn't finish the synchronization (the amount of space they were referring to was all the music/video I had on there to begin with...but didn't actually appear to be on there anymore).
It seemed like my only option was to restore my iPod, since the music was already gone from it, I wouldn't be losing anything. It's now currently transferring all my music from iTunes back to my iPod, and seems to be working so far...hopefully there aren't any issues.
One weird thing that did happen the last time I did play my iPod was with 2 of the new songs I had just added. I went to play one of them, and all of a sudden it just started skipping songs 3 or 4 times, by itself, and then stopped and played a different one. It did it with of those new songs I had added the night before. Then today when I started my iPod restore, I immediately got a notification that those 2 songs won't be added to my iPod because they are unable to play on my iPod model. Do you think this could have had anything to do with the ENTIRE iPod deleting??
My other question is just wondering whether something like this has happened to anyone else? and if you knew what the cause of it was in the first place...so hopefully I don't have to go through this again!
