We currently have a old 200 CD player, and want to replace it with an iPod. Between me & my wife's music we have about 50GB, so it looks like we will need the Classic. However, the Touch looks like it may be easier to use (search playlists, etc.) than the click-wheel on the Classic when docked simply because of the touch screen menu.

I'm thinking about getting the ipod universal dock which will also support our ipod Nano, and hooking it up to our stereo receiver.

There is also the Bose dock; anyone have experience with their sound?

Then there's the Sonos system, but not sure we will migrate to that yet.

So, just looking to see what setup you guys use to play in the home instead of all those CD's.

Thank you

i convert all my CDs using 320 AAC
then some of my "audiophiles CDs" using apple losseless
then i play them on my iPod using Geneva Labs Model S.
couldn't be happier.

at first i wanted to buy the Bose, but after trying it on the store, the geneva sound a little bit better, and clearer.and the Geneva also have FM tuner and alarm fucntions.
im totally recommend this set up.

the only problem is thta i can't seems to connect my iPod Classic 3Rd gen to this dock. can anyone help ?

Anyone else have suggestions on playing an iPod through a home stereo?

Thank you
