Please help, it's really confusing me. Not that it's a big problem, it's just not how it should be so I want it to be the way it should.

My stuff:
iTunes 10.0.1
iPod Classic 120 GB (111.61 GB) (2009 I think)

A) My iTunes says on top: Library -> Music: 8,327 songs (57.41 GB)
B) My iTunes says at the iPod section (when it's connected): Devices -> iPod -> Music: Sync music - 8,323 songs (used on iPod -> Audio: 57.6 GB)

C) My iPod says: Shuffle songs: 8,310 songs

This all came to my attention after all my songs were thrown of my iPod and my iPhone (I have a little playlist for my iPhone, never to big) a few days ago. I restarted iTunes and all songs were put back up on the devices again. Or so I thought.

So why the hell 3 different numbers?! I don't like it!

Any help would be appreciated. :apple:

First of all, it's sync. No 'H' at the end. Second, when you are describing an amount, you use '.' not commas. IE 54.5 gb. Learn some spelling and grammar(it math...if that's what it is).

Perhaps this would be true if the entire world was American.

1. Make sure your computer is authorized to play all the music purchased from the iTunes Store (Store > Authorize Computer)

2. The iPod will separate out some content into other sections that iTunes doesn't always do (voice memo, etc).

About sync, you're right, otherwise you would pronounce it weird.
About the numbers and dots or commas, that's a difference between English or American and, for example, Dutch. We just do that with commas, just the other way, so I'm used to that. So for you it would be 34,999.99 (I guess), here we write 34.999,99. I did know that, I just forgot.

What bothers me more about people writing English is you're instead of your etc. but that's a different story.

And Fuchal is right, I'm not American so I do make some (in my opinion) minor mistakes sometimes. Sorry if I bothered you with that.

And Fuchal, thanks for your help. I was also thinking of something in that direction.

It's still not totally clear where the three different numbers came from though.
