Apple usually give a weeks notice, if the event does indeed go ahead on the 9th as rumoured we would see invitations around the 2nd of September.

That's not happened yet and the event (though it's happened every September for years now) has yet to be confirmed.

Well it is almost guaranteed to occur. Apple will likely make an announcement in the coming days giving about a weeks notice.

Conventionally, the Yerba Buena Center for the Performing Arts does not have anything scheduled for the 9th.

Someone should call them tomorrow and ask if the theater is available for rental on the 9th. Haha.

I've just been reading the rumours - iTunes 9 with a "social element" and cameras on the new Nano amd Touch.

how often is the rumour mill right about these things?
