My wife bought me an ipod nano around 3 weeks ago from Best Buy. She also got the warranty with it. I'm pretty sure that the rumors are true that Apple will be releasing a new generation nano on Tuesday. Is it possible to exchange my current nano for the newer version, and if I can, how do I do that?

Thanks

I guess I can do that, but there is nothing wrong with it. I heard somewhere that if you buy an old generation Apple product within weeks of a new release, you can upgrade for at no cost.

Is this true?

If you buy from Apple then they have a policy in place. I believe it covers purchases in the 2 weeks prior to an upgraded product being announced. As you did not buy from Apple you have to find out what the policy of the retailer you bought from is.
