As said above, when I originally bought the Ipod I connected it to a PC. Now that I have a mac, it won't update my Ipod. So the Q is how do I change the format?
TIA
:D

There should be a "Restore" option when you plug your iPod into a mac. Keep in mind this will erase all of the music on the iPod though, so you might want to make a backup.
That's what I thought, but I was hoping there would be another way. Thanks;)

Hello,
this is also what I also need to do (but vice versa) but I want to KEEP my current iPod library (especially because of the song ratings). So my question is how can I backup my entire iPod with all the information it has ?

Thanks,
Tex

There's a free program called Senuti. Download that, and use it to transfer your music into iTunes. Once it's done, you can restore your iPod (which will wipe everything), and will install the Mac formatted software. When this has finished you can sync everything back onto it as it is now in your library.

However, Senuti only works with videos, podcasts and music - anything like games (aside from the ones that were already installed on it), notes, etc. will be lost.

That looks nice. If I use another folder that the iTunes folder, how can I sync back from the computer to iPod ?

edit : Ok it doesn"t matter, I will just use my iTunes library since it copies also the meta data. I've just bought Senuti. Thanks ;)
Thx,
Tex
