Well one day I went to the gym and left my Ipod in my car and an hour came back and realized that my cup of water was dripping (sweating) down onto the Ipod. I heard the ipod make a "sizzling" sound like it was being fried and I've tried multiple techniques to dry the inside of the ipod but I'm pretty sure the damn thing is fried. What should I do that wouldn't be too costly to make my Ipod work again.

It's the Classic Ipod 80gig.

Please and thank you.

There's not much you're going ot be able to do if it won't turn on that will be significantly cheaper than just replacing it. If you can identify the problem at the board level you could either buy a replacement logic board or a replacement hard drive to swap with the old (presumably dead) one.

Unfortunately, I expect that you may have to get a new iPod; I'm not sure how it can be repaired, if at all, given what has happened. I feel your pain; the loss of an iPod is a sore matter.

Cheers and good luck
