I bought 3 ipod video games on my old PC.

My computer crashed in late August and I lost everything. Luckily I still had the files on my ipod. In Mid October, I got a new macbook, ripped all of my tunes off of my ipod, etc.

However, the games I bought are absent from the scene. When I try to "check for downloads" in the apple store, nothing will DL. I no longer have a games toolbar in my itunes either.

Is this some sort of ridiculous situation where you can only register the game to one computer? (My computer is authorized to play the songs from my itunes account btw)

I have also tried pressing "buy" on the games I own, in the itunes store, it proceeds to tell me I already own them.

If someone could PLEASE PLEASE tell me how I can get the games I damn well paid for, it would be great. It's really unfair of apple to not let me have my games because I got a new computer, any ways around this? :(

itunes support

I was able to talk them into letting me download them again by sending a nice email explaining the situation.... but it does seem as though the games are only on one computer. I'm in the same boat again, going from pc to mac... and they don't even sell 'zuma' anymore.... FOR SHAME!

Cheers

Jarek

iPhone apps that I transferred with the library from one computer (iMac/Tiger) to another (EeeBox/WindowsXP) also didn't work for some reason -- they even showed up in iTunes, but they weren't functional (everything else was).

I don't know how iPod apps work, but if I'm not mistaken, with iPhone apps, if you've already bought it, doesn't trying to "buy it" again from the iTunes store generate the option to re-download it?

Send an email to support. Include the receipt number. I was able to "upgrade" my games to the versions that would play on the new Nano's. I had to purchase them, then email her back with the order number and she refunded it.

Took about 2 days to get the credit back.

She was very nice about the whole thing!
