hi mates.
i found a used ipod 160gb but the seller doesn't know what generation it is. how can i figure it out? from manual maybe?

If its an ipod classic then it can either be a: early September 2007 sixth generation or an early September 2008 6.5 generation.

Yes, the last 3 digits and the firmware version are the guide.
