iPod iPod, Genius and issues

Hi!

I have a problem:

I've bought myself an iPod Nano, 4thG and I want to use the genius function. Trouble is, not all of the music I have on my iPod is on my macbook, and apparently i can only update genius for songs that are in my library.

Anyone know about a way around that?
