so Im stumped.

my Brother ( who is technologylly challenged ) has a regular ipod.

he was working out in the gym running and watching a movie on the ipod. the battery died and that was it.

he gets hoem and tried to plug it in to charge and now all he has is a start up screen ( aople icon ) that flashes on and of, and that it.

iTunes wont recognize the iPod, and its just not booting up or charging.

Im pretty good at this stuff...but even googling Im not seeing any actual solutions. I todl him to hit a genius bar...but in the meantime....

Thoughts ?

tried putting it in disk mode and seeing if it will show up? and if it does, restore it.

is is not something to do with a dead hard drive??? Is it still under warranty?
