Hi, quick question, this is my first time owning a music player in about 7years or so and the headphones came with that black covering piece that covers the headphone (no idea what its called) do you recommend using them or is the headphones okay without that black piece?

thanks

You mean the foam doohickies? I like 'em. They're only for comfort, so if you like them, use them. Otherwise don't. :)

^^, i guess they are called that lol i tried looking for a name in the user guide but found nothing. So its only for comfort? any other benefit? is sound worse or exactly the same without the foam doohickies*?

so it doesn't matter if i dont use it or not, do a lot of poeple use it haha? like if you listen to it, do you get more earwax or is that irrevelant? what if i share headphones with people should i use the foam doohickies then or not?

thanks lol, the shuffle is awesome btw :)
