Can someone explain to me the reason why HP has the ability to sell iPods? I dont know all the ins and outs of the deal. WHy would Apple allow another company to sell its products?
Because it makes sense for Apple to sell ipods through a PC maker for more sales. It's also a giant slap in the face to Dell for making such a crappy MP3 player and saying it ould be superior to the iPod.
Plus this way HP doesn't design their own mp3 player. You don't want another large company making their own and adding to the competition. I hear HP doesn't give official support if you are using it non-Windows machines. That way Mac users still buy from Apple.
