Heh what a resurrection indeed! I'd already forgot about this! not that I'm complaining, always nice to get compliments
By the way, I made a few more tests and perfected my crochet-fu, came up with a bit better versions of that iPod jacket - without the ribbon, I did the lanyard in crochet too.
To answer jamesW135: no, of course it doesn't really protect the iPod (except maybe it does slightly protect the back from scratches). I just wanted something with a lanyard because I found keeping the iPod in a pocket a bit uncomfortable. And it was fun doing it.
And virus1: it really isn't a lot of work, except the first time I made it, cos you have to make your own pattern rather that follow a readymade one (like
this hat, I just made that last week). I'm a bit faster now anyway. And I do it while watching tv or DVD's.
Tell you what, if anyone wants a crocheted iPod jacket similar to the one in the pictures, but in the improved less sloppy version, just drop me a message and I could make one for you and send it free, so you can try it out and tell me how it works for you - offer open to first five only, for now. And you'll have to be patient.
(Only problem is, I now no longer have that iPod, only a shuffle. But I can borrow one or use a card model with the same dimensions, I guess!)
