I have purchased apps on my iPod Touch, if I sync an iPad through iTunes, will the apps run on it i.e. those that already say they will work on iPad.
Or will I have to re-purchase so that the iPad can be detected.
Does this make sense?

when you synch your ipad for the first time, it will load all the apps you have in your itunes library. so you won't need to re-purchase any apps.

Thats how it was for me.

Any apps that you have purchased will work on the iPad as well, provided that the iTunes account is the same on both. Those apps that have been updated (as part of a free update) to provide iPad functionality will work and run as iPad apps.

If the developer has created a separate iPad app you will need to purchase that in order to use that app natively.

However any apps that are still only built for an iPhone will still run with the option of scaling them up to fit the bigger display.
