I am a huge fan of the coverflow feature in iTunes and on the ipod. I am still pretty new to using it. I was just wondering if there is a way to only display those songs that actually HAVE album art in the cover flow. I find it to be kind of annoying to have so many "default" album art images. I have a lot of music, although some of it does not belong to a specific album, and just shows up as the default coverflow image. I'm basically just looking for a way to ignore these if possible in the coverflow view, or at least maybe combine them or something.

Thanks that's definitely a start! But still in ithe cover flow won't there now be an album for EACH artist named "Other Songs", using your example. Would I need to modify the Sort Artist or Album artist or something to make up for that? Thanks in advance! :)

That still didn't work. I have used the compilation feature before, but I still had to change the Sort Artist tag as well in order for the files to show up together in iTunes. So does that mean they all need to have the same Sort Artist? If so, then is there a way to change the Sort Artist for a large number of files. It seems like when you try to edit the tags for multiple files in iTunes you do not have access to the Sort information.

If you tag them as compilation, they should show up as one album only.
I did this but I went one step further naming the album artists all the same. Then all the covers came into one cover. Without doing that I still had separate album covers for each artist.

iPod/iTunes Coverflow Question

I love Cover Flow too and am finding ways to eliminate blank covers and to consolidate music by one artist into single albums.

But there are some strange things going on. I had several songs by Van Morrison from several CDs, most of which are not available at iTunes. Suddenly they all got an album cover for a "Darren Morrison", just a plain brown cover with that name on the front. I cannot exorcise this demon and it has taken over all of my Van Morrison songs and albums except for Wavelength.

Help! What can I do?

iPod/iTunes Coverflow Question

you could just google the covers yourself and add them in manually? amazon is decent for cover art!

Ok, this sounds like a better idea that discovering Darren Morrison for myself, but how do I do this? Is there actually a way to add album covers to iTunes? I need to add several including King Crimson's "In the Court of the Crimson King" to my iTunes.
