dumb question...never bought a song yet...but when i do...do you own the song?..ie. napster you rent songs but when you quit membership then you lose the song in the mp3 player...what about itunes?

It's yours in the same way that buying a CD is. It will stay in your iTunes library for ever if you so wish.
