So I've had my iPod mini for 5 years now and have been very satisfied with it.

However there's 2 issues that kinda bug me:

1. This is a physical issue, there's a bunch of dust in the topleft corner of the screen and I don't mean just a few specs, it's like 15% of the screen I'd say. It just looks weird sometimes, gives the pixels a faded look then I remember it's just the dust. Is there any way I can remove it? Can apple do it if I bring it to the store?

2. This issue is with the actual device; occasionally when I'm listening to a song, it'll cut off near the end of the song (not just a few seconds, like a decent chunk of the song) and skip to the next one. I haven't been able to reproduce it at will and it happens randomly (not just with certain songs, but with any songs at random). I've tried googling a few months ago but hadn't found any solutions. Can anything be done about this?

Thanks for reading

I've had a similar issue with the first iPod I bought back in 2002. I still have it but the screen has dust issues in the corners and no way to fix it unfortunately. I've checked with the Apple Store here in downtown SF quite a long time ago. I believe they mentioned the screen can be changed but I think it was too costly. I've since moved to many other iPods but I still my very first iPod and the problem seems to be getting worse as it sits collecting dust outside and inside!
