iPod Ipod mini won't play some videos

I have an older ipod nano (not mini) that plays .mp4 video files fine, but I just added some right now (.mp4) and while the files play in itunes as well as successfully are added to the ipod mini, once I click on the file in the ipod, it just won't play. Any idea what is going on?

I already resetted my ipod a few times. The ipod is probably 3-4 years old, no issues thus far with it.
