Hi guys,

A while ago my sister purchased an iPod mini from the Apple Store. It has been working fine lately until when last night, she plugged it in just fine and in the morning it was blank. It won't respond to any button touches, resets, or plugging it back into the computer. The hold switch is not on and has been toggled back and forth just to make sure. I have tried everything in the owner's manual type thing and nothing has worked - it's still just blank. No hard drive noise, no nothing. I think the hard drive is dead and if that's the case.. that sucks but it's under warranty right? 1 year? Anyways, your replies would be wonderful.

Thanks.

Hello there,

Sounds like the iPod has a bad motherboard, when was it purchased?

It may still be under warranty. Make sure there are no dings or dents on the outside or the purchase date won't even matter, you will be denied service.

Check out iPodMechanic.com, my newly launched website I'm glad to help.

Regards.
