As iPods continuously decrease in price and also the introduction of iPhones, people would think that iPods are less valuable for muggers to steal.

iPod muggings themselves tend to be mostly focused between 2004-early 2007 according to news searches.

What do you think.

Speaking as someone in the news business, I suspect with the increasing proliferation of iPods that they are as much the subject of thefts as ever. However, since it's been happening for many years now, it's not as big a deal.

When the first few happen, people talk about it. When a gazillion have happened and another one happens, if it even registers with people, the response is something like "Oh, another one," and they move on.
