iOS iPod music should continue when app launches

I have seen many application in which the ipod music keeps playing the background.Does anyone have idea how to do it ???

I know how to play the tracks present in the ipods music library from the application.

An audio session sets up how your app handles audio. You choose a "Category" for your session that defines its behavior.
