I'm trying to copy my ipod music to Music library in Catalina. Searching the web I found software to do it or sync your mac to the ipod which I do not want to do. I have no music in Music library which means it will remove the music on the ipod.
There must be an easy way but for the life of me it does not seem apparent.

Thanks in advance

If you have purchased the music on the apple store - you can download the music to your mac from the apple store.

If the music has not been purchased from apple you will need to use a 3rd party software like iMazing to transfer the music to the Mac / Music.App / library

Apple does this to prevent copying and shareing of music

Thanks for your reply. I have downloaded my purchased ones ok and found away to copy my ipod music to the Music library. I had a copy of of my music in a folder on the desktop. I then went to Music, file, import and copied the music over. Problem solved with a little bit of more thinking.
