Hi guys, new to this forum.

I'd like to ask a question. There's a guy whose selling me his 1st Gen iPod Nano, 4 GB, for $20, with a case (and armband). Problem is, his Nano has the dreaded "Exclamation Point with Folder" sign. Should I get it?

On another post, I believe it was by "mad jew", he said this is usually because of a firmware problem. What is the percentage that I can fix this?

I'm asking him if he's restored it yet. He says iTunes "sometimes" recognizes it. And he uses Windows. I don't think he's the type of guy who'd even know that you can turn on "Disk Use".

Thanks everyone!

Welcome to Mac Rumors!

I think you should get it. Its just 20 bucks and that makes it worth it,, even if it doesnt work 100 percent.

You can probably to a restore and reinstall the firmware. Might fix it. Go for it!
