iPod Ipod Nano 2G Problems

I accidently didn't turn off my alarm clock off on my ipod nano and it completey drained the battery. Later i went to turn it on and the backlight wouldn't turn on. I went to the backlight had selected always off and always on and 5 secs. Even with a full battery charge and while it is being charged on my computer the backlight still doesn't work.:confused::confused:

Any ideas on what to do?
