Basically I did the traditional troubleshoot methods, press center and menu, and hold for 10seconds, another attempt where toggle hold button, drain battery, connected to several computer for a response. Anything I did there was no response from the ipod (blank screen) and the computer gives me unrecognized ipod from iTunes (mac) and unable to identify USB device(pc). I have no idea what caused this problem I just had the battery drained for a long time and was trying to recharge and load new songs.

If someone know how to jump start a battery drained ipod where the computer will not recognize it.

If the case is to take it in to Apple how much would it cost (estimate). I want to know my options, I prefer to turn it in to recycle and get some credit for new ipod if that exists.

Thank you
