I can assume the not holding a charge is due to a worn out battery though the problem did seem to happen suddenly.
But what is most perplexing is the backlight flickering. When the nano powers on the screen with the Apple logo does not flicker nor does the main menu after a reset at first...that is until you touch the scroll wheel and then the backlight flickers. The nano plays music and videos just fine while it's plugged in. I've even shaken and tapped the nano all over to see if I could get it to flicker but it will only flicker if I touch the wheel.
Any clues?
