iPod ipod nano 4g doesn't play videos

ok, tell me i'm stupid and help me out.

just bought a lovely nano 4g 16GB red. i loaded my music and a few music videos. i can play the music videos to hear the music but i don't see the video. when i turn the nano horizontal all i get is coverflow but i still can't see the music video. what am i doing wrong?

even when i select the music video from the protected mpeg-4 list to make sure its a video i can't see the music video.
the titles show the little tv screen icon on the right so they are music videos for sure.

You have to select "Videos" from the main menu. You're going to "Music", so they're just playing you the music bit of the music video.

i had no videos in main menu. i had to go first to settings, general, main menu, video and activate music videos. five steps to watch a music video

love the ipod but already hate the user interface.
