The new iPod Nano 4g randomly reboots itself. I exchanged it 3times already and every single one of them has the same problem. After using 4 different ipods, I figured it restarts if I listen to music for 1-2 min and try to play Vortex(i only tested vortex and not sure about other games). Even though the restart is random (sometimes even when i play center button on play lists to bring out the option menu) 90% happens when I try to play game.

I don't know if this is software bug or defective hardware. Is ANY ONE having similar problems or know how to fix this? (BTW I tried many songs during the test, and i am possitive that corrupted song files are not the cause)

The clock on the iPod nano doesn't change while it's connected to a computer.

When you unplug it the time is correct but for as long as it's plugged in the clock will show the same time.

Now that's a bug.

I've never had any problems like this, I've had mine for 10 days. I wonder if its possible that your iTunes is messed up causing it to crash.

Might be true

This might be true bc ever since I upgraded to itunes 8.0 in my vista, itunes has been little weird... But my iphone doesn't have any restarting problem. The only problem with iphone since the update is that the album works get mixed up (only on iphone, not itunes).
Anyways, i think u might be right.
So.. does any1 with Vista os have issues since the 8.0 update?

This has been happening to me for a year now with my 3G nano. Quite often, when I select something, it will just restart. It happens most often with games, then videos, and music being the most uncommon trigger, but it still happens. I wouldn't expect Apple to fix this issue anytime soon.

i went to the apple store to check 'em out. several of them had bad scroll wheels with poor response.

An entire half of my scroll wheel would just stop working for a period and then it would come back. Also the MENU button would make a horrible SNAP! sound when i pressed it in. I returned it. Im thinking of buying a classic.
