iPod ipod nano 4th gen conection issues

Hi, wanted to know if its normal that the ipod nano 4th gen automaticly disconnects from the pc and is ready to eject after i sync it with itunes?
because the older one remained connected until it was told to eject.
note: when i mean disconnect it is still charging but i can use the ipod.

The last iPod nano, classic and touch were all able to disconnect by themselves, you must have had Disk Mode enabled on it.
