My iPod Nano 5G (purchased last September, just when the 6G was released) has suddenly, as of last week, started acting up. On 3 occasions now, it will suddenly go to a black screen and become completely unresponsive. After waiting until the battery finally dies and then connecting it to my Mac it will boot up and appear to work again. Has anyone had a similar thing happen with their own Nano 5G?

As I am under the one year mark I plan to take it to an Apple store in the coming week. I'm not sure what the outcome will be if a replacement is needed since we are well into the 6G version. Will they force me to upgrade to a 6G replacement (hope not!) or possible send mine out for repair and stick me with a used referb? :(
