This seems a common problem.
The Ipod in question is 3 or 4 years old. And the wheel and buttons have been acting up for years. The wheel itself jumps around and it takes me ages and patience to actually select the track I want. The buttons too often need double clicks to work.
It's all very random and irritating.

BUT, a week ago the wheel stopped responding in any way. I charged the pod and that helped for twenty seconds. And "toggling" the "hold" button worked a few times. But not for long.

I restored the iPod, but problem is that, once restored, I cant even select language as the wheel is not, indeed, responding....

Any remedies here? I tried the most I've come across. Should I open the thing up? How? (I mean, I'll have a buy a new some time anyway, but right now I have no money... )

Pretty please help me out here. I neeed my daily podcasts.
