iPod iPod Nano 6G: I am confused

Hi,

I just purchased a 16GB iPod nano 6G and I have two questions.

1) The buyer's guide here states that the iPod Nano 6G was "last released October 04, 2011". However, I see writeups and YouTube videos with the iPod Nano 6G from 2010. Can someone explain if there's a 6G version 2 or something?

2) There was an iPod Nano recall. How do I find out if my iPod nano is a recalled version?

Know new iPods were released since 2010. But according to apple yours is still "new".

2) the recall was only for iPod nanos from 2005.

Expanding on #1, Apple did a simple OS refresh for the iPod Nano. There's no difference between the iPod Touch 6G from last year than the one from this year. It was simply assembled and "re-released" from the 2010 models. The difference is that the new ones ship with the newer OS update.
