Overall, the 7g iPod nano has vastly improved over the 5g iPod nano but the radio is exactly the same. It can only pick up local fm radio stations sorry. Sweden must not have much radio stations.

we have lots of radio stations but thats why i am wondering over the improved radio cause i can't get in stations that i want only 2-3 stations and two of them is some you can listen to sometimes but my favorites doesn't work , it would have been a perfect device if the radio worked for me , but for now i am looking maybe to go for another brand if the radio works better on that device , i don't won't to but maybe i am forced to skip an apple product cause of that =:)(

I dont think ull have any different expierience with any other product cuz it isnt the iPods fault, your probably just not in range. THe iPod will pick up anything in range. remember that the radiostations are transmitting the signal, not the ipod. So it is not the iPod with the problem, maybe you are behing a mountain or you are in a building with thick walls that impedes the radio station from transmitting the signal toward you???

my car radio and stereo in home picks up all radio stations the ipod don't do this i don't know if its something wrong with my ipod or all is that way i can't even get near the stations i like to listen to most must be weak signal in the ipod or so cause all other things i have picks up the radio more than fine ??????

You're trying to compare things that probably have huge antennas and better tech inside them though. This is a little bitty device that has to use your headphones to get the signal. I had this same issue with my Huawei Fusion 2, my current Nokia Lumia 520, AND the Nano. So it's more like you're expecting too much from a device that isn't meant for exclusively listening to the radio.

maybe i am comparing two different sizes of devices but the fact is that its a shame that the radio isn't better on a ipod cause it should work better i think at least they can do it better if they want to but maybe i am old fashioned that wants a portable radio in a little size but i think that would sell the ipods better cause its sweet to alter to radio from mp3 songs and get the news and so on the radio to at least thats what i think:confused::confused::confused:

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

Mine gets all the the local radios stations....could have a faulty iPod or you could try switching headphones (if you haven't) because I think they are also used as your antenna..

ok i have tought so to maybe my device is not working correctly , i am thinking of selling it and get the latest 7th g but i am not sure yet, and i have tried switching h phones but i can't get the radio stations then either.

I guess it could be caused by the antenna(earphones) are not strong enough to receive the signal. Try using a really long pair of earbuds or walk upstairs of an apartment building or high up building u may have access to.

is there any difference between 5th nano against the 7th g in terms of sound quality is there any different sound driver in the 7th g ? and is the battery much better in the 7th g? i am trying to find a reason to upgrade my device , is the 8th g nano coming soon ??:confused:

Yes the sound quality is much better than the nano 5 and the sound quality of the iPod nano 7 is equal to the iPhone 5s. It does have a little better battery life but the battery life is about the same as the nano5..:eek:f course your nano 5 is 3years old now so it has had some diminishing battery. The nano 7 has 16GB of storage which is probably more than your nano 5. The only feature u will really loose with the iPod nano 7 (besides a click wheel) is the video camera...but if u ask me that isnt a huge deal because nobody really takes lots of videos and apple should have made it a still photo camera. The nano 7 is nice because it is like an ios device as you control it with the same gestures an the apps look identical one u open them. In fact it looks like a mini iPod touch . The new nano is crazy thin and small so it is very portable for runners so it doesn't sway back and fourth in gym shorts when u run. It also had built in nike plus...no dongle required. It does have a slightly larger screen than the nano5 so if u like watching movies on a small screen-this will be a better option. Keep in mind it had a lightning port so u may need to buy apples lightning to 30 pin adapter to use it on old iHome or other docks. Overall. I think the price is fine with the nano 7g a it has lots of features and has 16GB.

Ad for there being an 8th generation iPod nano-we don't know. If there is it will most likely be released in september this year but speculation had been that apple may not make another iPod nano and replace it by the iwatch(although i think not because the iwatch probably wont have music functionality the same way as the nano-it probably wont have a headphone jack.) Another speculation is that apple may just keep the 7g nano for another year or two as it has lots of features and is already thin so there isn't much to add to it.(this is most likely).
Of course apple loves to surprise us so there may be some redesigned nano just around the corner and we don't even know about it.

I own the nano 7 and use it daily...it is a quality apple product and i am always willing to recommend it...SO GO OUT THERE AND BUY IT.unless u have the patience to see if there even will be a nano8
