A person who I know has just bought a new 4th gen iPod Nano and whenever he plugs it in to his Windows XP machine to sync it will connect then after a few seconds disconnect then few seconds later connect again then disconnect again and keeps doing this constantly.
Anyway after a few hours of trying to get it to work he found out that this only happens when he has his Netgear WG111v3 Wireless USB stick plugged in as well. If he removes this, therefore disconnecting from the Internet, the iPod will sync.
I have had a quick look and have tried reinstalling the driver for the USB stick and also uninstalling iTunes and Quick Time then reinstalling them again but have had no joy. There are other USB devices plugged in such as a mouse and a printer and these do not affect the iPod. Just the netgear wireless usb stick.
Anyone have any ideas what could be the problem or has anyone come across this problem before? Any help will be very much appreciated.
