iPod Ipod nano not turning on

I have an ipod nano 5g that 3-4 month ago stopped working during the night, it wouldn't turn on.
Today I connected it to the my mac and the display turned on, the apple logo appeared for 1-2secs, then the display went all white and then black again.
Now it's not turning on, I did a hard reset with menu+central button but it's not turning on.
What can I try?

You could take it to Apple and pay the OOW service fee for a new one (if you don't have AppleCare) or sell it for parts.

i have similar problem with my 4th gen ipod nano. If i pay the oow price do they give me the same model? i dont think they still that model though?
