Is the ipod nano's flash memory faster compared to the hard drive of the classic in terms of navigating songs, playlists, menus...etc..
 
Is the ipod nano's flash memory faster compared to the hard drive of the classic in terms of navigating songs, playlists, menus...etc..

Syncing to iTunes the Classic is faster.
Playing songs and skiping, the iPod nano is faster. Due to the classic hard drive having to spin up.

Plus with the nano you get better battery life.

The iPods themselves are similar speed; playback the Nano is more instant; though skipping is not an issue on the Classic with it's 64MB cache.

And battery life on the Classic is 30hrs/40hrs and the Nano is 24hrs.
