A couple of days ago, my 80G iPod Classic starting showing alternating screens. First, it would show: Please Wait, Very Low Battery [with a battery icon]. It would act as if it was charging. I've had it 'charging' for two days and nothing...
Then the other screen will come on. It shows a iPod icon with a 'dead' face and the Apple support web address for the iPod.
I went through the 4 of the 5R's for Troubleshooting. When I got to the last "R" - restore - it will restart but I can't make it go to disk mode to show up in the source list in iTunes to complete the restore process. It just goes back to the two alternating screens...
Please advise!
