ipod not resuming play after phone call

jailbroken iphone 3gs running 3.1.2 JB with pwnage tool. just recently noticed that when listening to music if i get a phone call upon ending the call it returns to ipod.app, but it doesn't resume playing, it just returns me to the "playlists" page, without a "now playing" button up top. i've tried deleting com.apple.mobileipod.plist and that didn't fix it. neither did reboot. any ideas?
