Okay guys I'm having a little problem, that I can't seem to fix.
I had to do an archive and install because the last security update I installed stopped alot of my programs from working. I did the archive and install, and now all the programs open with no problem. However, when I got home last night, I connected my iPod, and noticed that it took forever to update. (Which is odd) So, I go to use my iPod and realize all of my movies and tv shows are gone! Any video is no longer on my iPod, it's in iTunes however. When I attempt to update the iPod it says "428 problems and that they're in the wrong format." They are in MPEG-4 format. Also, when I convert a movie for iPod, in the source panel it says "Converting Song." I don't understand this at all, and can't find a fix.
It kinda seems like it's acting like this iPod can't play videos! Any advice?

just found your post. doing some ipod research.

did you reformat the ipod and restore the software?

and if you need to redo your movies try this program

isquint. also try attaching your ipod to a different computer to see if it uploads. and in a final step actually reformt the ipod using disk utility and then restore it. (but i have only tried that with a gen 2 ipod. not the video ones. good luck
