got an odd problem, my moms ipod nano 3g just recently stopped being recognized on her itunes (which is on a pc) her itunes is up to date 8.0 and her software on her ipod is up to date as well. My iPhone 3g now cannot be recognized on the PC either, however USB portable drives can be detected so i know its not a problem with the USB slots. The weird thing is when i plug it in to my macbook it sync's instantly! what could be the problem?? any help would be apprectiated

tried a reboot? maybe the iTunesHelper process that looks for iPods and iPhones was not launched.

numerous times, ive tried restarting with the ipod connected to the computer. ive tried restarting it then connecting the ipod. to no avail it is still not being recognized
