I used iTunes to do a restore of my 3G iPod. After the iPod restarted, the progess bar fills on the screen, but then it restarts only to show the same progress bar! The cycle continues: restart-->progress bar fills-->restart-->progress bar fills-->etc.

This is done when the iPod is plugged in. When it isn't plugged in, it first shows the apple logo, then shows a picture of the iPod connector cable, with an arrow pointing away from it (as if saying to disconnect cable from iPod), then powers off. It's strange because the cable isn't connected...

The iPod isn't recognized in My Computer (I run Windows XP) or iTunes anymore. :( Please help!
