iPod iPod Salvage

I wouldn't wish it upon anybody but after installing 10.4 I was starting to import my songs back to iTunes via iPod when I finally realised they've been deleted after the prompt came up asking to allow the new iTunes to access the iPod and update it. A bit of sad human error.

There's hardly any hope now, but was wondering if any success could be had retrieving the songs through Norton Utilities or DiskWarrior. Thanks for any help, I really need it.
