So, a while back, my friends sister texted me, telling me that her iPod Mini had stopped working and was just showing a picture of a folder and an exclamation point. I told her to just give it to her brother to give to me and I would try and fix it, however, she was out of state and was going to be for another week, and really wanted to listen to music on the plane ride home in the coming week......so I thought for a few minutes, and then told her to slam the dock connector into a table, not sure if it would work, but had read stories of it working around the web. She did, and nothing happened. The next morning, she woke up, tried turning on the iPod, it didn't work, and frustrated, slammed it into the table again (and probably a LOT harder now that she was angry), thinking the iPod was wasted, but to hers, and my surprise, when she clicked to turn it on, it worked.

So, for the people out there whos iPod's just stop working, but the HDD seemed to have been fine before it stopped, do this technique, because I was doubtful just reading about it, but now have first hand experience, it actually works! :D

Anyone else on here had this work for them also?
