I bought an apple ipod shuffle (3rd generation) today, only to be shocked to find that there is no repeat function! That's absolutely ridiculous!!!! Even my Walkmans in the 90's had functions that repeated tracks!!!

Anyway, does anybody know of any software plugins that allow you to alter the the hardware functionality... EG - to transform the shuffle function into a repeat function...???

Did the old ipod shuffles have repeat on them???

Who the **** are apple to tell me how to listen to my music on the go!?! How dare they remove such a basic feature!!! The sheer audacity!!!

Ironic isn't it? iPod shuffle not having a repeat function? None of the shuffles have had a repeat function. Take it back and get a nano. Really you should be more pissed about the stupid button on the head phones design, the limited head phone support, and the failure of the buttons when they get wet.

I don't think many want to get a shuffle just to repeat the same song/track over and over again.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE

...in other words, it's an iPod SHUFFLE. Hurr durr.

Maybe you should have done some research on the product before buying it.

How dare apple not have a feature in there product that you bought without researching what features it has. This is an outrage! ;)

I got around this by pressed the back button (2G Shuffle) when the song I wanted to listen to again finished.
I like the repeat feature on my iPod and iTunes but I don't think there's any way they could fit it onto the Shuffle.

Get a Creative Zen Stone, they are fantastic with or without speakers. The 3rd generation Shuffle is one of the most hated Apple products, anyway.

Shuffle, shut up, repeat, shut up...

It is a shuffle. Buy a different player if you want that.

The second gen shuffle was genius and I regret the day that I gave mine away as a gift and got the 3rd gen.

If the new nano is seriously the size of that square (and has controls besides the lousy headset controls) then I will happily never use that 3rd gen shuffle again and replace it with a nano.
